conSERVE is a website to help anyone become more educated about the injustices happening to animals across the globe. With creating my website I hope to encourage young activists to get involved with protecting wildlife even from the comfort of their home. This is not only a place for people to get educated about the environment but also connect with others and enforce action that will habour change. U.S. Senate has just passed a Taxation Bill that will allow for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to be opened for oil and gas drilling, one of the few untouched placed left. Allowing drilling in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge signals an absolute surrender of our society to corporate interests. Join us in demanding that the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge be protected from oil drilling.
More than 20 percent of the Amazon rainforest is already gone, and much more is severely threatened as the destruction continues. The Amazon’s diversity of plants and animals provides us with the oxygen, medicine, and foods that both humans and other species need to survive. If deforestation continues, we may never know how many more have potential to help save lives.
